Scott Webster is a photojournalist based in South Wales, UK and has been published in various magazines and newspapers in the UK, Ireland and Australia. He has also completed larger commissioned work for international companies. He has recently been proud and honoured to be included in the list of finalists for the 2009 Renaissance Photography Prize (Judged by Martin Parr, Eamonn McCabe, Charlie Waite and Brigitte Lardinois.
In his final year of a BA (hons) degree in photojournalism, Scott is not only passionate about the medium of photography and the aesthetic composition of the photograph, but also about the people and situations he captures through the lens. Most of his latest, self-initiated projects focus around capturing the spontaneous moments in human celebration, but whatever the photographic opportunity, his aim is to always use photography as a privilege and responsibility to create a true, dignified representation of the fact.
